Supplementary
Benefit Riders
9. Income Shield
This rider provides
income to the insured and his/her family on death or disability
in case of an accident. The benefits of this rider are payable
on;
• Accidental
death
• Dismemberment of limbs, loss of sight, speech and hearing
• Permanent Total Disability
• Medical expenses caused by an accident (optional)
It offers fixed
amounts of benefits irrelevant of the basic life policy
(IGP) face amount. There are four different plans and two
different options.
The
advantage of this rider is that it gives the insured the
option of covering his/her family on the same basic policy.
That means that once a person has effected the IGP, he/she
can also take this rider for the remaining family without
having to take the IGP for the family. Thus one single policy
can cover the whole family in case of an accidental death,
disability or hospitalization.
